Default Suspension - Specifically Shocks

Could anyone tell me what brand/type of shock absorbers I should use for the front; mainly road use, not much off road?

I am also not sure for suspension parts in general, what to use as some are for ACE and some are not; here comes the question: how do I know if I need with/without ACE?

Appreciate any help with this!!

Thanks

does your power steering reservoir have one or two caps, if it has two you have ACE.

At your mileage and since you are not doing much if any wheeling I would suggest you replace all 4 shocks and the steering stabilizer, all of which wear out around 50,000 miles, with Old Man Emu Sport Shocks. They will give you all your old control back plus some, pretty much last forever and give a grate ride.
Lucky 8 is one of the better suppliers of these shocks, OH and they work well with ACE, if you have it, I do with mine.

Thanks for the info, I will check when I get home but I think I do not have ACE.
Appreciate the details Mike, I'll check them out. You mentioned steering stabilizer: I did get the front stabilizer links replaced, is that the same thing? Also the drag link assembly as those parts had worn out; shocks are next on the list.

The steering stabilizer is the horizontal shock hooked to your tie rod.
Are you going to be replacing the tie rod and other parts, if so send me your number and I'll call you on where to buy and what to do to make it an easy change out.
