Default Painted Trim and Wheel Flares on my LR3 with Duplicolor Trim Paint

i Originally wanted to body code all a the trim to match my 2006 Java Black LR3. I decided to try Dupli-Color Trim Paint in Satin Black which happens to be as black as my car.

It is really easy do do it yourself. Now my trim and flares are a nice dark satin black. It looks bitchen. Dupli -Color also told me that it will not wash off (It is a paint) and it can be waxed!! and if I wanted it glossier I can spray it with a clear coat.

Dupli -Color has some pretty cool products available.

Yeah...Pics.

I am planning to have the front bumper sides painted to match the center, like the L4's. I wonder if Dupli comes in the silver color...?

It's a lot more involved then I guessed. Just pulling all the trim off without breaking anything is a task. Then scrubbing off years of plastic shine stuff and who knows what else. TSP or Dawn works great for that. I finally got the front and front flares done. Tomorrow I paint the rest of the trim. I finished assembling the front tonight so no pics yet but it looks friggen awesome. It's a dark satin Black.

I promise I will post pics.

Sorry for the poor quality photos. I had to drive out of town and now the car is a bit dirty. I don't think I am supposed to wash the car until the paint has fully cured for about a week.

When you did the paint prep, did you just clean off the armor all build up or actually sand, scuff and paint?
