Any recommendations for material to use as flooring for my SD roof rack?

 

Farmtek chicken coop flooring. Non-overlaping. 4 sections IIRC.

I suggest cutting out out some of the ribs before installation so that you can attach ratchet strap hooks to the rack cross bars.

just curious what is the genuine material used for flooring on the G4 equipped roof rack? I imagine its something else?

 

SD offered/offers marine plywood as a flooring option. But, as standard, SD racks never came with flooring.

 

It's also horrible in comparison to the FarmTek chicken floor.

 

I did my sd rack with marine ply. it cost a 100 bux a sheet I used 1 inch marine ply. after shaping it to look like the flooring on the sd rack website. I used a varathane base on top of the wood then used a rey roll on bedliner to cover and add some some texture. you cant ell if it was factory or not by looking at the design.... I like this chicken stuff. tho. maybey after twenty years or so with the marine ply...ya never know.
