I got a 96 Range rover 4.6 and my cd changer reads "CDAC ER6", would anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it.
Thanks

Most common problem I have heard is a stuck CD, or the mechanical part which moves the CD's to the playing area. Manily caused by a build up of dust inside.

It might be an idea to contact LandRover and see if you can find out what error 6 means in relation to the CD Changer. Or pop down your local dealer and see if they'll be nice enough to tell you.

I got a 97 RR 4.0 and mine does the same thing. That error code means that the CD is upside down (to Land Rover); however we both know that we aren't morons and how to insert a CD right side up. Obviously, this has to be an error in the CD Changers reading of the CD. Try cleaning the pick up mechanism (black roller things) inside the changer, that helped mine somewhat. Also, try using a perfectly unscratched CD.
