The audio forum is obviously not very active but I'll throw this out there. So I posted sizes of speakers but have a wiring question. 2nd row doors, woofers or mid bass in the lower, 6.5" alpine components fit easily, top of rear doors were HAES tinylastic speakers and now have the component tweets in there. Again an easy fit. So, the old wiring to the bottom still goes to the bottom. But, there was a pair speaker line run to the HAES (whatever that was) that the RAVE says was a mid. The Alpine came with an inline crossover. See where I'm going.. The bottom lead goes to the new component low range and the crossover lead connects the bottom to the tweeter? Does the old top wire that was for mid now instead connect into the crossover just for the tweeter alone?

One set of wires used to go to bottom speaker and another set of wires went to the top speaker. With a component set that has a crossover inline what goes where to feed them? Since it's coming from the LR amp is it already separated to low and mid?

With components the crossover typically has one set of inputs then specified outputs for tweeter and mid/bass. Trying to re-use the factory wiring is fine, but you'll need to splice in to it after it enters the door, wire the crossover, and send the appropriate signal to each speaker. Does this make sense?
