New here! Need help with Disco stereo...
Hey guys,
This is my first post. My mom has a 1999 Land Rover Discovery and for some months now, the rear subs have not been working. Sometimes they crackle a bit but that's the extent of it. I'm thinking the amp is bad. More recently the speakers on the drivers side sound like they have a bad ground or something - they have a really low, echo-like distortion to them and sound terrible. Can this be a bad ground? I really don't think they're ALL blown on that side (they dont really listen to music loudly). Also, sometimes when you turn the steering wheel or hit the brakes, a "swishing" sound comes from the speakers, only when the CD changer is on. Please help - it's nearly impossible to enjoy music in the car now - first no bass, second the "swooshing", and now the drivers side speaker problem. Thanks!

Weird. My '97 Disco started getting cracked rubber around the glass which let water into the panels. Check around the rear window especially. I wonder if something is wet. Just a though.
