What a day. I got the engine running (yesterday) after:Coil relocation Fuel injectors rebuiltWater pumpNew hosesNew beltReroute throttle body heater hose And today I spent 5 hours trying to get rid of the frame rust. Bought this nifty tool from Harbor Freight. You load some **** into it and it sandblast. See pics.Pretty cool really. I need to do a bit more tomorrow. Then I plan on using 3m undercoating to prevent any more rust.mine was just surface (TG)I also changed the oil. Tomorrow I'll use the blaster and have on deck to chang tranny, front duff, rear diff, center diff oil. Here's some pics....Oh.... And the previous owner had some BS cherry bomb exhaust on it. 😄 🤣. That went in the trash.

That front wheel in the last pic is going to join the cherry bomb I hope? I’ve become a bigger and bigger fan of the Comets (the back one) that seem to be OEM on the HSE. Are you leaving the Barney flavored interior lights as well?

I love thread like this bringing an already good example back to life.

Here's an update.

I have been busy with work and haven't had much time. I got the new suspension in yesterday. It's a RTE and I'm super excited to get it installed. I was able to get the rest of the old parts off and finished wire-wheeling the frame I have completed the rust mitigation and am applying the black enamel paint. This stuff is hard to work with and I got it all over me. I'm really happy with the outcome. The paint is supper hard and looks like it will stand up to anything.

Made a lot of progress. The prop shafts are installed along with the entire rear suspension. Did the rear diff fluid while i was at it.
