2001 D2 daily driver build thread
Hello all, i am starting a minor build thread for my rover. All start by listing what i realistically will do. any input/ suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
first project, which i already began working on is custom front bumper. so far i picked up a factory brushguard and i cut the top tube that covers the light, im going to keep the bottom bar and weld over that to make the custom bumper a little stronger underneath. if anybody has done anything similar could someone point me that way?
on my to do list for the build is
1.remove carpet from rear storage space and rhino line
2.custom rear bumper
3.new rims and tires(i have "stock" 20s with brand new tires if anyone wants to trade)
4. custom roof basket
5.2" lift
6.paint hood so i can be cool like the rest of you
7.custom mesh grill
could someone link me to some cheap brackets to mount my brushguard
ill post pictures of the rover when i get a chance
again, any input is appreciated

Hey man,
Sounds cool. I would think that if you are building a custom front bumper, you could make brackets for the brush guard or just weld it to the bumper. Without pictures it’s hard to tell exactly what you’re talking about, but finding new brackets now would be, by my guess, not easy or cheap. There are people that specialize in Land Rover salvage though…google that or if you have a Pull-A-Part close by, you might luck up on something.
