Chunky little thang, who needs wheel wells? It's longer sideways than front to back. Comes with 5sp trans and they recommend new apex seals but with low mileage who cares? Free economy shipping too! Why am I getting excited? Hmmm, wonder if it would motivate a Disco??? Nobody's done that swap ever, probably break the thirds and thats how far that would go........ That would be THE engine to put in a TR7 if it was a one wire because the wiring in a TR7 sucks chipmunk nuts. It's like they painted a colored stripe on the back of cellophane tape and called it a "wire".

That is a MG Midget makes the MGB look big lol.
You forgot the best part of the motor I linked. Wait for it.......
255 hp in a 2ooo pound car

Yeah, it would be hard to keep it planted. That is a tight space for an NA I can only imagine the TT. If I was starting a fresh rebuild I'd probably unzip the front clip, place motor and stitch in fender bracing instead of solid inner wings around it. Added cooling. Might have to borrow the brake system from a Miata or Yota of some sort to have a small enough booster to not interfere with the left side turbo which looks like it would sit pretty close to the frame rail. Truly and interesting project and I'm on board.

I don't have to worry about the booster, the 1972 was still manual brakes. Twin piston calipers on the front with a solid disc, drum rear.
To be honest the brakes will probably not need an upgrade. The stock brakes are more than up to the task of a heavier more powerful V8 engine. If anything I might upgrade the rotors to slotted and drilled to give a bit more fade resistance.
I have found a couple of 12A carb'd motor and transmission complete for under $1000 in my area. Might have to buy one and take 10 days of leave and see what happens lol
