Well, the vender has been amazing but looks like i'm not going to be able to get the same part as a replacement but rather another ball joint that isnt serviceable Whatever, it'll be free so.. yeah.
FINALLY did the stupid trans service, MagPie literally came with ATF when i bought it to do the service but I never did because i hadn't purchased the filter kit. I did so but then i still didnt do it for several months until tonight when i decided it would be a good idea What was stopping me from doing it was that the allen drain plug bolt was stripped. But i thought to myself, "why can't i just stuck the old ATF out of the fill plug?".. So thats what i did and worked like a charm. Didn't make a huge mess, pan lowered with about 1/2 qt in it. Scrubbed the pan in the kitchen sink as good as i could before the wifey started giving me mean looks, so its mostly clean
Used all the old hardware which was fine, everything came out without issue. Filled up with about 4-5qts of STP ATF along with some Lucas tranny additive, ran through the gears and waited until there was a about a drip per second out the fill plug.. Yay. Actually looking forward to driving to work tomorrow to see if i can notice any difference in performance. Old fluid was still sorta red but not a gross brown or anything so thats good..
Noticed the heat shield on the drivers cat was busted.. gotta fix that!

Redid the rear window seals today.. Did a DIY sorta for it
Copied and pasted from Main D2 forum.
Right. I'm sure we all have seal on our windows that look like this:
So, what does one do about it? RESEAL!
Tools for the job:
Pinstripe tape
1" blue tape
Utility knife
ISR (its what we use at work for window / door seals)
Rubbing alki
Dish soap with water
Rags
Patience and Beer.
Step one: Cut out old seal or at least what is visible. I did not remove the windows to do this job. Rubber was very brittle / cracked and literally crumbled in my hands.
Step 2: Clean areas with rubbing alki and rags. Didn't take pictures because.. i was cleaning.
Step 3: Tape off area around windows, first with the pinstripe tape to establish the line on the body and then go over with the 1" tape to catch any squeeze out. Didn't tape off windows because I just scrapped off / cleaned off any ISR that got on windows when finished.
Step 4: Used the caulk gun loaded with ISR and fill the gap between the window and the body. No pics because.. the heat was working against me and i had to move quick before things started setting up. Used fingers and dish soap to create an ascetically pleasing looking seal. Pull tape and clean up any squeeze out with with rubbing alki and water for dish soap. Things get messy quickly

That is all.
