'94 & '95 Defender
My husband and I are looking at a couple of Defenders. One is a a '94 and the other is a '95. Does anyone know the differences in the model years or where I might be able to look it up? Also, what is the purpose of the little hole/ding looking things (I know, my technical terminology is amazing!) that are on the side of the vehicle?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Iam new here as well... but will try to answer one of your questions.....
There are 2 things that come to mind as far as the "little hole/ding looking things" if they are little, smaller than a dime and rung in a horizontal row below the beltline of the vehicle, they are spot welds or rivets. OR.... if it actually not that small and is on the wing of the vehicle, about 6" in diameter, it is the intake for the heater, if I recall.
that being said, I own a RRC and a '60 109 5 Door, and not a Defender.

Both the '94 and the '95 have 300 - Series engines but the '94 and '95 have very slight differences between the engines. If you haven't noticed already, almost all defenders look the same and most even have interchangable parts with models built decades earlier. In addition, theDefenders are allpermanatly coil sprung, making them have constant 4WD.In conclusion, look for the model that has the lowest miles and best condition, not so much the year.
This is ofcource my opinion, and I am no expert!
