Default Buying my first Defender

Hi all,

Soon I might want to buy my first Defender. Now I may have seen a nice one, but I am not sure if the chassis looks good. I have received some pictures. Could you guys take a look with me and give your opinion? Is this chassis worth it or would you recommend looking further?

IMO pass - too many good ones out there to chase this one down the rabbit hole

It depends on your budget and usage. Are you looking for a 90 or 110? This one surely is dirty/grimy and shows a lot of surface rust. Rear crossmember looks the worst...and l'm unsure about the plate that's wrapped around the top of the frame. Looks like not much preventatve maintenance has been done. Doesn't seem to be leaking horribly.

If you aren't mechanically inclined...this is probably not the Defender for you. But, if you're looking for a project...you'd have to buy this one right. Frame/bulkhead swaps are expensive and labor intensive.

Go over to defendersource.com and checkout their classified section.
