Hello All,

My 200Tdi is sick, When I first heard a noise recently I looked underneath and saw that the front UJ on the front shaft had a bit of play. After a bit more driving the rear UJ on the front shaft started to show a bit of play. The noise was almost like a metal fan intermittently catching on a casing, a bit vague I know but it's the best way I can describe it!

Now the front UJ on the rear shaft has almost disintegrated, Is it just the UJ's or could it more sinister?

Odds are decent it's just the u-joints. They don't last forever.
If you don't replace them though, it will become something more sinister.
