Default Defender acquisition ... do you know this company?

I need some help, in Ontario a couple hours out of Ottawa I found a partically restored D90 hardtop, converted to diesel. Title and completion of the assembly to Etest will cost me 23K before the HST takes a big sloopy chunk out of my aged posterior. Post Etest and acquisition of the title, I have about 17K of addons which should see the vehicle completed and in my hand by mid to late June, actually probably July as nothing ever goes perfectly to plan. Right now I'm getting my lawyer to build me a sales contract and provide me with a 3rd party escrow agent, I like things in black and white.

The company's name is Global British the owner Dominic seems to be a no nonsense and knows his product type of gentleman. Has anyone in the forum had dealings with GB for Defender Restorations. Don't talk to me about any parting out business dealings because that isn't the type of transaction I'm engaged in. This is a restoration, it's 45K all in.

I just saw this. I hope you had the sense to walk away from this deal. Dom got arrested over selling this car to several different people.

Well that is surprising, really I find it a little hard to believe do you have some sort of proof. I am not trying to be hard on you, it would be nice to support your statement. I had to walk away for other reasons. Doing due diligence in purchasing a restored car is essential I am sure all would agree.

Global British inc. beware

This is one of the customers Dominic and Scarlett ripped off through their company Global British. I don't think they got any justice and Dominic got off with a fine. I'm glad you walked away for whatever your reasons were.

Edit: I had heard it was just a fine but it looks like he got probation and restitution too. Dominic is such a silver tongued degenerate that I can understand it might be hard believe he is such a shyster.

It's sad that terrible companies like Global British go around robbing people making it that much harder for the honest guys on the internet to get anyone to trust them

I like how she lists her self as "Scarlett, International Trade and Development" her and Dominic's last international trade was felonious. That would be like hiring Charlie Sheen as a sober companion.

Wow I encourage anyone to check out their vendor if in or doing business in Canada. Searching Global British came up with a wealth of information. This is what I was looking for originally.
