Default Importing a Defender

I want a country station wagon Defender 110, and the prices in the U.S. for them are ridiculous. What steps would I need to take to import one to California? I understand its difficult, but what would I need to do?

If you would do some searches, you would find that you can not import any vehicle into the states, especially California, unless it is 25 years or older.
If you are still interested then check with your state DMV, and DOT for what is required.

The reason the prices are ridiculous is 500 D-110's came to the US and 25 more went to Canada that was it "525"
They came in 1993-1994 as 1993's
You could get one in any color you wanted as long as it was white.
All had roll cages on the exterior.

If you want to off road in one its hard to beat.
The one I drove it drove like a tank,, the 4 speed manual has to be double clutched in first and second gear.
Not something you would want to drive everyday.

Five years ago it sold for $37,000 USD then $15,000 USD was put in it to make it right.

http://www.dividingcreekroverimports.com/

I had another good site, but I can't find it right now.

I am going to be serving in the middle east for a while with the military. I am pretty sure I can buy a new or used car and import it duty free as long as it meets US safety and emissions standards...
