Just got a new 1985 diesel Defender 90 today. Not staring due to wrong fuel.

Just got a new 1985 diesel Defender 90 today. Not staring due to wrong fuel.
Picked this up today. Working to get it running. It cranks but will not start. Was told it was Run with wrong fuel. Looking for az experts or fixing suggestions.

Drain tank of improper fuel, fill with correct fuel, open bleeder on injection pump and pump handle on fuel pump to remove fuel in delivery line and filter, change filter, continue pumping fuel pump until you get quality fuel coming out of injection pump bleeder. Then crank it over and see what happens. A little snort of ether might be needed, just a touch, don't go crazy with ether.
