I have a 1985 110" bus with A/C. I am planning to intall a radio, but would appreciate some advice as to where it should/could be fitted.

Is there sufficient room in the middle of the dash board to fit the radio (in front of the gear leaver in the "marked out area"). Do you have any experience/pictures?

It's entirely up to you where you mount, more or less, anything in a Land Rover - I've got a simple binacle type thing in the middle of my dash which acts like a sling or hammock for my stereo - but I see you have a dash liner/fascia already in place.

The 'marked out section' you mention is where the clock, cigar lighter and rear wash wipe switch is mounted on my 1993 CSW 90 - I'll have a look tomorrow (as it's now 1am here) and let you know if there's enough space behind it to mount a stereo or not.

Thank you for the comments, yes it is a 1985. It is new seats and a "sound proofit kit", that makes it look brand new. It should be good for another 20 years.

Looking forward to hearing the about the room - could save me for some hours work!

Can you give me some details on your hardtop? I have an “83” that I am overhauling.
Your dash looks great and where did you get the "sound proofit kit"?
