Default sticky handbrake.........

Hello all....and a happy new yaer to you all !

I have a hand brake on my defender td5 2000 that won't stay down !!!
I have adjusted the tensioner correctly (I think?) but it just won't stay down ????
Any help please .....?

Have you had your console apart recently or it just started happening, suddenly?

Wait you said down.... hyperextending the handle while apart, usually gives the opposite problem..."can't keep it up." Twss

Solved the problem changing the cable for a new one.....
