Hi - i thought i read somewhere in LR literature that my UK spec 110 (2010 MY 2.4TDCi) would need a special tune for life in africa with lots of crap in the fuel etc. does anyone know if that is correct? Our local LR dealer is hopeless so not keen to ask them!

 

my understanding of high sulfur vs. low sulfur in an engine that requires low sulfur is the high sulfur content will end up pitting the cylinder walls and pistons. most likely it is an additive rather than a tune to help prevent this premature damage.
