Default Turn signal/ Hazard issue

1992 Defender 90 started having turn signal issues.

All the lights work just fine BUT... Moving the indicator for a right turn works as expected, Moving the indicators for a left turn appears to turn on the hazards.

Suggestions on how to go about troubleshooting this?

thank you in advance!!

Seems like a turn signal switch issue.

I have a 1986 Ninety and it failed the inspection here in Germany because of gremlins in the turn signals...they work fine...but brights go on and turn off and the mechanism just seems like a little jiggle makes things go wacky. Anyways, I just ordered the new switch and am going to replace it...as soon as I can figure out what size bolts are needed for the steering wheel puller to attach to the steering wheel. Good luck! But you might just need a new switch and call it a day.
