Default Natural Wax vs. Sealants

Carnauba or Synthetic?

When you have made the decision to wax, you have ascended to a new level of vehicle appreciation. The amazing depth and quality of the reflections displayed by a delicately waxed vehicle is truly a sight to behold.

A car without a fresh coat of car wax is exposed to the brutality of the elements. Exposure to adverse conditions can doom your precious paint to oxidation, scratches, and corrosion. While some enthusiasts wax for the sheer beauty of it, others do it as a precaution to safeguard their paint from troublesome contaminants. Whatever your reasons may be, you can expect to find paint protection in two different forms.

In my idea sealant do provide much tougher protection and a slicker shine. While natural wax can protect your paint but not like with sealants, but it deepens the shine of the paint. It would be best if you can use both of it. I believe its called layering method.

Waxes tend to look warmer on the paint, sealants tend to look a bit glassy.

Longevity tends to be a problem with waxes, although there are more out there now that have significantly better longevity and can give sealants a run for there money.

Most people find sealants easier to apply than waxes. You tend to have to put down a thin layer of wax
