Default [HELP] Coolant Drain Question

Which hose do I use to drain the coolant?
(bear with me with my DUH! questions)

So this is the coolant reservoir
(obviously don't use this to drain)

This is the left (facing the engine bay) of the radiator
(obviously don't use this to drain)

The hoses on the left of the radiator
(do I use these hoses?)

Hose on the bottom of the radiator [if you look straight down from the earlier pic] It's also connected to the coolant reservoir and somewhere else
(do I use this hose?)
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/IMG_0269.jpg

The only hose I saw underneath the car near the radiator
(is this the one?)

If you need to empty it completely remove the expansion tank cap and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
If you're doing something like changing the thermostat and need to just lower the level remove the plastic plug on the left top (when you're facing it) of the radiator and siphon out some coolant.

When I had my radiator re-cored I had them install a drain-**** at the bottom of the tank on the left side of the car. Now it's easy to empty the cooling system without a mess.

Picture 4. It's that 2 inch or so line coming from the bottom of the radiator just above the frame. And when you pull the hose off, it dumps right onto the frame, and makes a big mess.

The only way I know how to not make a mess is to cut a hole in the hose but that only works if your gonna replace the hose. You can try loosening the clamp up and slowly let it drip out other than that hope you have plenty of floor dry or a really big catch pan.

Siphon out most of the coolant through the plug in the radiator.

You really need to shrink your photos...too big and too long to load. I don't even look at them.

Thanks, I guess I'll just cover the floor with plastic bags or something. Haha

Thanks, will do.

Covering the floor with plastic bags will only make a bigger mess.

I was just kidding, I just did it over grass and had a bucket underneath. Still a little messy, but not as bad as it could have been.
