...radiator.

Sat. I spent from 9:30 in the morning until 7:30 at night working on The Stormtrooper and The Donor.
Here is what my radiator looks like after 14 years of service, and it still works great and does not leak!

This is the backside of the radiator.

This is the front, notice the debris.

Here is the "debris field" that was between the a/c condenser and the radiator.

Got my new radiator installed, got all the fluids changed on The Donor and man am I sore.

When you say new radiator, did you buy a new one for the StormTArooper?

What you going to do with the Donor?

A while back, I took my air compressor and blew out the radiator and the entire area around it. It looked like a Saharan Desert SandStorm. There was so much dried mud caked everywhere, it looked like a red dustcloud for several minutes. I had never seen so much stuff lodged in any crack or crevice.

From the looks of things, mine swa some heavy use in muddy environment without a good cleaning prior to me buying it.

Spike , yours looks like creatures lived in there man.

No I did not buy a new radiator for my truck, The Donor had a less than 2yr old radiator in it.
The Donor has been sold and I am driving it to the new owner 150 miles away next weekend.
I just changed all of the fluids in The Donor yesterday after I swapped radiators.
There was all kinds of crap in there, I was not having any cooling problems so I did not think there was anything in there.
I rinse my radiator once or twice a year with the garden hose to make sure its not full of pollen or dust.

Oh so you took the good rad and put the 14 year old in the Donor.

14 years olds are usually trouble anyway. Wonder how long it will last for the "new" owner.

I have no idea how long it will last, but I knew how corroded it was and I was not worried about it.
However when the opportunity came along to pay $600 for $1200 worth of parts how could I pass it up?
How much car do you get for $600? And delivered for $600? He cannot complain about the 60k engine needing a new radiator.
And he wont, he already knows whats wrong with the truck.

I cleaned the throttle body, replaced some vacuum line, changed all the fluids, its getting a new air filter this week and my wife is going to clean the interior.
I'm tired of parking in the street so I cant wait to get it gone.
A guy stopped this last week and offered me $1000 for it and that was before I put any work into it.
