This Rover booklet shows the values of the various sensors for different fuel injection systems. Also check for shorted or grounded wire from sensor.

Default I’m having similar issues

Except I had a shotgun sounding noise come out my tail pipe and it was running very rough very bad idle, they have checked the mass airflow sensor they have checked all kinds of things one guy is trying to tell me who is not a mechanic that I have jump the timing chain, whatever that means but anyway he couldn’t tell me for sure he said so I don’t know what’s going on but it runs rough now it will not crank it out no matter what I do, I’ve unplugged the mass airflow sensor and somebody told me that would tell me whether that was the issue . So there’s no need for me to put that mass airflow sensor of the new one that I bought on there right? If I unplugged it and it’s still not working. Somebody please help me I’m desperate here I’m stranded

It’s a 2002 disco II SD

Bad ECU unlikely.

Bad crank sensor and it won't crank (on the GEMS engines).

Bad ignition module, if you have a distributor, can heat up and die off.
