Default 1996 Disco security system? What is this wire

I have been trying to track what I am almost certain a security system issue. I have the entire car and dash dismantled in order too reach all electrical systems and wiring. I have a Rave workshop manual with no wiring diagrams that i have found. I also have a 98 LE with basically the same equipment to refer visually.

What I know at this point.

The car will run fine briefly(2-3 minutes tops) and other times it will shut off and/or not crank or start. A security system relay is heard clicking under the dash during all times of the malfunction. As soon as it stops it will crank and start.

My drivers side door locks but the sill button does not move when using the two button control. All of the doors will lock if the sill button is depressed manually.

I hear relay click under the driver seat when I press the switch on the drivers door but not the other doors or Bonnet switch.

Before I start testing door switches and such I need to identify an extra yellow wire that is bundled with the other wiring that is routed through the AMR 4885 ECU. It has a pin connection attached to it that looks as though it would fit in one of the two wire connectors on the ECU but I do not see a wire that corresponds to it on the 98 to know where it goes.

If anyone knows of a good color coded wiring diagram in existence that would be of great appreciation.

If I need to go to the stealer-ship to have the system reset I want to make sure all of my connections are good first.

I see a yellow wire coming from pin 26 in C225 for the antenna, and a yellow/pink wire that goes from pin 7 to the left front actuator. That is from Rave.

I think I remember once before we determined the yellow antenna wire just hangs there looking out of place.

There is one yellow wire still connected on both the 96 and the 98. This is a second larger gauge than the antenna. No matter I have decided to pull the engine and put it in the 98. I will soon have a 96 with a 4" lift going to the crusher if no one wants it.

Will
1/2 96 SE
1/2 98 LE soon to be resurected

How old is that lift? My suspension is sagging like nobody's business. At the very least I could use the springs if they are still fairly new. Shocks I can get anywhere. Let me know. If the price is right and it is good I would like the suspension. Thanks.

keep in mind that with 4" you are going to have to start changing pinion angles and brake lines..

primesuspect - I'll come get it if you are throwing it away....

Yeah Okdisco I know and I wouldn't even think about it but now that the DI is my toy and no longer my DD I could swing that. That is if he basically gives me the suspension set-up lol.

Well, Brandon is a little closer than me, but I have a car hauler and 24 hours to spare...

Maybe I could get it and stop through Dallas to see my in-laws on the way home..might swap you the suspension for some gas $$. That is, if the OP is serious about letting it go. I will make the drive to keep it from the crusher.. Plus with no engine, I might see what I can fit in there... Heard talk of a turbo 300D going in nicely...
