Default 1996 Discovery 5 speed

I bought a 98 a couple of weeks ago because I had not been able to find a 5 speed. One week later I found the 5 speed. I picked it up on Friday morning in Pennsylvania and drove the 1350 miles to Oklahoma. It has 113000 miles showing and had been driven only about 500 miles in the last 10 years. The guy I bought it from owned it for about a year. He replaced the tyres and changed all the fluids.
It looks pretty clean and straight. No sunroofs, manual seats. It looks like I need to clean the ground points and track down a power steering leak. That's the to do list so far.

Looks good! might need to check that light on the front bumper... Much easier than swapping the transmission I bet!!

I am seriously jealous. looks so much better than mine inside and I have electrical seats that I hate.
Which engine is it?

Yes where does that come from?
We had one in the garage with these lights, I have never seen them before and they are no foreseen on new bumper ends.

We stuck black tape across it for the RITEVE (technical check) in case they might object.

It has the factory engine for the 96 D1 model. I'm not sure I understand the rest of the post.

In the photo, it looks like a driving light was hanging on the front bumper. Just giving you a hard time. I still say it is a nice find!!

that looks EXACTLY like my old truck. 96 willow green 5-speed no sunroof cloth seats. Sold in LR about a decade ago.
