Default 1996 Discovery Rear Windows Don't Work

I just got a 1996 Discovery and it seems to be pretty flawless except for the fact that the two rear windows do not go up or down. Neither the buttons in the front or the back seem to have any effect on the windows (no noise or anything). I am hoping that this is just a simple problem and that I would be able to fix them myself inexpensively. I would appreciate any help or input... Thank you!

Read the tech section, there is a "how to" in there, simple DIY fix.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will be sure to check it out, but I'm new here (this is my first post) and I do not know where the tech section is...

Top of the DI page.
It is the first thread, it is called a "Sticky" as it always "sticks" in that place.

Looks like the Tech section only addresses the roller problem with the Windows. The OP's problem sounds like the Window ECU, for which there is a bypass.

The window lift ECU repair is not in the tech section?
I swore it was.
But I have been wrong before.

Open glove box, remove liner, remove window lift ECU, open it, re-solder all the joints on the circuit board, put it back, windows now work.

I only glanced in the Tech, I could've missed it. There's also a bypass for the window ECU, AB even sells a kit for it. But I think you could accomplish the same thing with some wire and a vampire clip.

I just bought a 1996 Disco on Thursday with the exact same problem. I'll have to check out the Tech section as well.
