So, I went to Land Rover just to see what it would cost to get a Fob and programmed.... Turns out if I had an extra $450 lying around I could have a new one with activation. CRAZY PRICING might I say. Anyhoo, the part # they gave me was LR066836 which replaces LR03871. So my question is.... Is that the correct Fob???

I am stumped as I did give them the last 8 digits of my VIN but when I looked up the part # it just didn't seem to be the correct Fob.

Any help much appreciated

 

If its same as the 98 fob , 2 button , they can be bought used cheap and Indy shops can program it not a big deal

If its the 1 button remote you can program it

 

Plenty of used ones on eBay, I think they are around $100 new from Atlantic British.

 

IS there a particular part # that I should get? Is there more than 1 option??
