OK, a couple of new things. ECT ok, MAP sensor output, 0. TPS with 3 prong plug connected, 0.4, unplugged, 8.7. Still have gurgling under the dash. Was ready to check out from this river hell when I received a call from PT Schram, put phone up to the scanner and all codes cleared, idle smoothed out, temp dropped 32 degrees, tires regenerated tread, and both sunroofs resumed operation. No, it was not a conjugal visit....PT has been VERY generous with his time and while the problem is not solved at this point, we are at least working towards a plausible solution. The P0500, VSS code is now showing in pending, and it appears that the tank pressure sender may be the culprit. More to follow....PT is a nice guy, his hands are soft and he has a good Disco side manner. I am still perturbed at my D1, but will spend this 4th of July sitting in my high idling, no A/C Rover, and work on my new relationship. Again, PT responded on a holiday, and as yet it did not involve cash or special favors. It is this kind of experience that makes tolerating our temperamental, schizophrenic, lucas wired, 2 ton part time POS's a worthwhile endeavor. Many thanks to all for your continued support...
