Default 1998 Discovery instrument cluster buttons

hello.

i have a 1998 Land Rover discovery. None of the buttons on either side of the instrument cluster work. Also the power side mirror controls don't work either. I took apart the cluster and verified all the connectors are clicked in. I Also verified all fuses are good. What should I check next?

I have one one of the switches in my hand but can't for the life of me figure out how to get it apart. Clearing the tabs on both sides and pulling, it doesn't come apart. How do these switches come apart?

Its a pain in the butt. There's like 4 tabs that all have to be released simultaneously.

Ok, I had a wedge on each side and thought I had all tabs released. I didn't want to try to hard for fear I was doing it wrong and going to break it. I will try a little harder now.
