What is a good tool for the GEMS Dicso 1?
I need something that I can see the ABS codes and the other LR codes that my ODB Fusion can't seem to reach.

Ideally I would like to see live data coming from the BS and the Engine (O2 sensors etc)..

OBD fusion will give you all the real time data the engine ECU sees. There isn't much else in terms of GEMS diagnostics. The GEMS manual can be found in D1 section of the google drive linked in my signature... gems_obd.pdf

As for the ABS codes, do a search here for blink code. I'm pretty sure I uploaded a video at one time. Also, make a jumper to run between pins 5 & 15 on the OBD port. More here...

For a D1 these two tools are just about all you'll ever need.

 

thank you very much, if I can get ABS blink codes that should do it (like my Old 92 RRC)..
I'll check out the 2 tools above but if OBD fusion can get all the data there is then no need for more.
I'm use to 14CUX.. LOL..

 

Resetting Adaptions = very key function on a GEMS. The GEMS Utility APP for Android used to work excellent for resetting adaptions, but once Android updated it's software the APP no longer works. Britpart Lynx can test switches, reset adaptions, clear and scan SRS, ABS, and engine faults. Very very handy scan tool IMHO.

 

GEMS utility app working depends entirely on the phone, my currently updated pixel 4 with lineageOS runs the thing like a champ.
Buy a used google pixel off ebay for cheap and throw it in the glovebox with a dedicated bluetooth adapter. Id wager its samsung or some other crap phone mfg giving you the trouble by modifying android beyond factory.

usimh An old chrome book from one of my kids for adaptive values reset tool.
This web based one would be better for gems. Hopefully it will happen

 

It was working like a champ on my Motorola G Power 2022 until an update. After that the app loads up just fine, but never connects to the OBDII dongle. All my friends have the same issue and have just resorted to using my friends Lynx.
