Question 1999 Disco 1 Rear view mirror help please.

I'm having trouble with my 1999 Discovery 1 rear view mirror. All of a sudden, the image in the mirror has gotten dark and weird, especially during the day. There's 3 buttons on it, the middle one is marked "Auto". I played with the buttons a little but I didn't see any change. I searched the forum for help but didn't find anything that tells me how to operate the mirror. Can anyone shed some light on it for me?
Thanks in advance,
Huck

When they go bad it looks like burnt ink and cloudy. The only solution is to replace it. Contact Will for prices.

They sure are ! I was shocked when I saw the price. Do you have any idea how to operate the buttons on the mirror?

Slap on a D2 mirror. You can get them with or without homelink. Just get the harness with it & splice it in.

Have you considered a mirror from a D2? Think you can find them pretty reasonable.
Modifying the wiring isn't too hard.
The original mirror in mine was dark and was leaking some-kind of primordial ooze.

Thank you, I think that's what I'll end up doing.

I've got a D2 mirror, with the harness and Homelink. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.
