Default 300tdi into.....

Project is 1996 Discovery 1 300tdi/manual box into Series111 LWB and wanting to use Disco 1 dash for Speedo and Rev Counter.
Respectfully asking if I'm compelled to use Fuses and therefore the Lucus AMR 1280 in order for Speedo and Rev Counter to work?
I did get most of the wiring loom with the Disco dash.
I'm struggling with the learning curve of the wiring troubleshooting diagrams and I don't want to send the dash to burnt toast.

Above is really due to Series111 cable speedo not being compatible with Disco gearbox.

Kindest, Mark

Default 300tdi.....

Thank you robertf for your kind reply. I have the part you suggest coming with the next order from England.
As the Speedo and Tacho is about all we really need from the Discovery we would love to work out a wiring scheme for those items.
It will look a bit silly to install virtually the whole Disco wiring loom fuses and AMR1280 and all. A few hints on the best way forward would be most welcome?
Respectfully, Mark.
