I'm really lookin foward to this now. I have my rear sway bar removed but not the front. I'm definitely interested about the flares. I still have yet to do the camel cut, it currently rubs slightly with the 245's but nothing major. I've got a buddy that has a forklift at the shop he's also quite knowledgeable about rovers, discos not so much. How much are you looking for to get rid of the flares?

$60 shipped for the flares. There's a decent write up on Dweb in the Tech section about fitting the flares. Ian(CUPGT) has D2 flares on his D1.

Fronts are easy to put on. Rears a little trickier. I'll dig up some pics of mine flexed on the 2" lift

Would the cuts look good on their own if down by a steady hand or are flares definitely the way to go? Ill check out the write up. I called the guy I'm picking the tires up tomorrow between jobs. I know there's a d2 at a junkyard the next town over but I think they're asking too much.

If your patient and make nice cuts it looks good. Flares just give it a clean factory look

I thought about putting D2 flares on mine.. But my wheels would look to sunken in. If needed,I'll just cut it as cleanly as possible. If you draw your lines first, and take your time; it can look real nice

$55 shipped and I have flares, too.

I'm running 33s on 2" of lift. Everything else stock. A slight very clean camel cut has done the trick, my truck flexes remotely well with no sways

well i looked at the tires and instead of having 70% of tread like the ad said they were 70% worn and barely had tread left, also really dry rotten from poor storage location. I was a little more than perturbed. I worked all day and barely had time between jobs to pick them up and the guy lied about the condition but what ever, like they say, what goes around comes around. I'm currently trying to sell the set i have on the truck now, I have another set of tires and rims i can use once i sell the good ones and from there ill buy some new tires or look for a better set on craigslist. Ive also been thinking about retreads, any thoughts?

I've heard nothing but good things with the Treadwright retreads.

Recappers of Nashville. I got my 285s from them for 440 shipped. Its a KM2 clone and they dig like hell aired down. Drive good on the road but took a lot of weight to balance.
