Default 4x4 trails in Texas

Does anyone know of any good ones near the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. I searched and searched online and it looks like there are about 3 that are within 4 hours of me and they are just daytime use only with no camping available. I don't want to rock crawl. I would like to just do some trail driving and maybe pull off the trail and throw up a tent and camp. Just can't find anything like that.

Lol. We have one (God made lake). All the rest we saw fit to add because as Texans we always think we know better. We just can't add any 4x4 trails to go with them.

Well I have been to TX twice now and I can say that I was not impressed either time.
The weather was nice each time but the traffic cams, weird street names in the country and the on ramps to the expressway are very very strange.

My allergies were gone and that was VERY nice.
Came back home and I couldnt breathe again.

Yeah, I second that. I drove on several in AK. Only way to get to some of the military bases we have, unless you have a helicopter.

Spike, if you come down I-44 again, stop in Disney, OK. There is a dam for grand lake that has an awesome offroad park. Everything from a stock samauri to a custom crawler with a blown 502. I have been several times and it is even just fun to watch the crawlers tip over.

In BC there are thousands of miles of logging roads to glaciers, lakes, rivers, and seashore. There are also free campsites next to lakes (bears included).
However, you will have to share the road with logging trucks with 100 ton loads coming down the hill fast, or stay of the roads during working hours M-F before 6pm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I looked in OK too, looked at OK Rover clubs and found nothing.

Thank you for the tip, I hope to make the Norman Music Fest again, it was fun.
