Default 97 D1 rocker arms

Buying a new BritPart rocker arm assembly from Lucky 8 Off Road. Anyone use them for parts? Seem to have quality parts. Thanks

Britpart has a nick name.... $hitpart. I would not use one of their products in a critical role such as rocker arm assemblies. You get what you pay for. Take a look at LRDIRECT.com They are in the UK, but prices are good and shipping is surprisingly quick.

I'd use Britpart vs AllMakes4x4 crap anyday. I have yet to get a single AllMakes4x4 part that worked out of the darn box.

Your saying stay away from BritPart? Just canceled my order with Lucky 8. However checked LRDirect they sell Brit part too.

I just looked around a bit. Wow, there is quite a range of pricing! Yes, I generally avoid Britpart, but Bext4x4 has way more experience than me so perhaps my opinion is overly harsh.

At this point I'd get on the phone with Eric Riston at AB (roverparts.com) and ask him who makes the assembly they sell. There is also Rimmer Bros in the UK that seems to have more than one price point.

Allmakes4x4, URO are two LR parts people to avoid. Britpart isn't perfect, but I've used a lot of their stuff without any issues. Sadly a lot of stuff is going the way of China no matter who you buy from. Water pumps are a good example of that. You can pay 150.00 or 32.00 and chances are they rolled down the same assembly line until one went to a $$$$ vendor in a fancy box while the other went to a no name vendor in a plain white box, but the part itself is identical.

Anything other than NOS OEM parts will most likely be from China sad to say. Just buy from a company with a decent warranty/return policy is all I can say.

Eurospare stuff is good quality, but not sure where to buy their parts as I haven't seen their lifters for sale in a while now for example.
