Default 97 D1 steering wheel with radio controls fit a 98 LE?

Would a 98 D1 LE have the wiring to make use of a 97 D1 steering wheel with radio controls on the wheel?

As Rosana Rosanadana said, never mind. I just realized the wheel on eBay is much different than my 98's wheel and would need a smaller air bag to go with it as well. Too bad, radio controls on the wheel would be handy.

Would they?? I always thought it funny they had the volume controls on the instrument shroud, saving you from reaching that extra 3" in these incredibly spacious cabs.

Hey when you're crossing the Darien, 3" is life or death.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee has them and they are handy if I remember they are there; they are on the back of the wheel and I sometimes forget - too many different vehicles and too few brain cells left.

Assuming that the system is similar to the Rover cars of the era (and a lot of the electrical system is similar) then you can add the controls to your existing wheel (2 screws) and connect it to the rest of the wiring through fitting the appropriate clockspring/rotary coupler. On the Rover cars you would then need to run two wires from the back of the rotary coupler to the ISO connector on the radio.
