Default 98 disco rough idle

98 d1 p1317 code with rough idleSome sources say to check the crank sensor, others say its an abs code. This popped up today after I fixed a bad ground. Edit: I also have a p0451 and have read it may be connected? Both of these popped up today after I fixed a bad ground that was causing a no crank no start issue

Yes only the AEL D1 has a sensor on the fuel pump housing. Non AEL = no sensor. P1317 as far as I know on a D1 = ABS fault.

I would start by checking the throttle plates and making sure the throttle body bore (and plates) are clean. And if there are deposits, clean them off. Make sure the PCV is working. Ensure there are no vacuum leaks. Yeah, I know thee might not be codes, but common things which can happen to old vehicles which can throw owners off. Just takes a couple minutes to rule out.
