Default On the agenda for tomorrow morning.

Making way to pull the transmission; so far have removed the exhaust and both driveshafts. Going to remove the starter in the morning. I'm not in a real hurry, just taking my sweet time. I work about 50 hours a week anyway plus about a 2.5-3 hour daily commute so not a lot of time. Anyway, debating on whether or not to remove the parking brake drum. Oh, it's a 5 speed. On a side note, I noticed my engine fan clutch seems to not be working, turning the fan turns the engine (via the belt of course). Thoughts on this or anything else are welcomed.

On my Disco II there was no room to push the transfer case back with the drum on and I bet you are in the same boat. I had to really modify the parts truck in a destructive way to get the case off with the drum in place. And I doubt I would be able to get it back on with the drum in place. Getting the parking brake off with the transfer case out would be difficult, too, because there is no resistance to help you get the bolts off.

I try (but usually fail) not to comment on things I know nothing about, so I dunno about your fan. I've been lucky with my original fan clutch so far.
