Depends on how much you spent on the tires.

If you spent allot on the tires and want to keep them in good condition it's not a bad idea. If you spent little on the tires and don't care if they last then it's a coin toss.

I'm kind of a wise guy......

Not much to an alignment other than making sure the axles are square with each other and setting toe out.

Exactly, never had an alignment in 9 1/2 years as its so easy to check it yourself.
