Ask the NAPA store for the Customer Service number at HeadQuarters to discuss your issue.

Sears had made me angry, I called CS at HQ , got a new replacement tire and a 3o dollar gift card!

I have bought used Margenti Mags or what ever the original Italian alt from my local recycler for like 60 bucks from scrapped disco's. Or if you can find a good original. A old fashioned auto starter/alternator shop can test and replace diode bridge, bearings or whatever is bad.

Buy a new one but make sure it is like either Spike found or you can try D&D Fabricators, they carry them.

 

Have your alternator rebuilt by a local automotive alternator/starter rebuilder. They generally do much better work than the assembly line rebuilders.
