Default Amplifier relocation kit worth the $399 price tag

I am considering relocating my amplifier from its distributor mount and I saw a kit at Amplifier Module Relocation Kit | Land Rover Engine Parts at RoverParts.com for$399 and the amplifier by itself costs $72.95 at the same store but one comes with the kit and looking at the picture of the kit there is honestly no more than $50 worth of parts considering it's a simple bracket and longer wiring am I really supposed to believe that the wires and bracket are worth $327. Anybody have a homemade solution or am I stuck buying this WAY WAY OVERPRICED kit?

Talk to AntiChrist and Cosmic88, they both made their own kit, new amp and wires under $100 DIY if I remember right.

Default There is hope yet

Yesterday i sent an email to the proprietors of Atlantic Brittish (the web store who was selling the $399 relocation kit) pointing out the ridiculous price point of the kit and very much to my surprise they responded stating that they resourced the kit in question and are now selling the kit for $149.95 and offered me a $20 discount on that price as well as free shipping for calling it to their attention

Foreal..
I just bought the Pioneer DEH -1300mp (Retail:$120-130) [Bought:$65]
I also bought 2 pairs of 4" speakers from Pioneer (Retail:$90/pair) [Bought:$35/pair]
I just now finished wiring the harness that came with the head unit to the stock wires. And tomorrow I will place in the metal bracket and install the head unit. Then I plan on installing the speakers to replace all the stock ones.

Total Cost: $145

Pioneer Speakers
Pioneer Head Unit

I'm a prime member with Amazon, so I get free 2 day shipping. I can order them for you if you want.

Default ha ha

Now that was funny. Actually I never read this thread because I thought it was about stereo stuff too from the title alone.

It definitely is an easy job if your inclined that way with wiring and such. If not then buy the kit and be done with it. In the kit do they suggest where to re locate the module? Mine is right by the coil, by the PS resevoir.

Hey Calebo..... fo realz yo.

Well, that's nice of them. Now it's only $140 overpriced.
