Default Another rear view mirror question.

Does anyone know how you get the mirror off?? I have a 1997 Discovery. I have pulled and tugged but it is not budging!!

And then what? I can't turn it as it hits the roof. It's the auto dimming one so not sure which bit comes off. Just the mirror or it and the bracket thing also.

Just the mirror comes off.
You can turn the mirror as you twist it.

Get a blount object and place it against the top of the base (or bottom, I can't remember ). Then, hit it the object with the butt of your hand firmly, should pop right out of place

I removed it by pulling it down. Hard. Thanks or the help though.
