Another Source for O2 Sensors
Based on my first purchase experience with Rockauto about 5 years ago I have never dealt with them again.

And Amazon generally gives free shipping on them. Even though they aren't at the moment, they are $47 and change.

Heat the exhaust with a blow torch, the O2 will break free more easily. And I think the front plugs are a PITA to get to. The best way to get to them without breaking anything is to remove the coil pack.

Personally I've had good luck with Rockauto on parts for japanese cars, but they just don't seem to have much for a Disco 2. I bought a bunch of coolant hoses for the Disco 1, and they were about 10% of the price of Land Rover hoses, and probably worth about that..
Anyone know if these have the connectors on them already? hard to tell from description

They should have the connector on them, at least the ones I got with the same part# did.
got my 4 from amazon...know the back two will be a piece of cake...front driver side looks easy enough to reach plug...little worried about front passenger side because i can't even see the plug. also, how important is it to use the designated tool for removing and installing these or will regular wrenches do the job?
Well, I went ahead and overpaid for the special socket from rover parts. Looks like that goes down into the holes where the o2's are plus you can attach an extension with ratchet to reach those front ones easily.
