Come to think of it, I never wondered why my pretty conservative parents didn't get on my case about the back seat always being folded down with a 3" foam mattress in the back.
Travelall's had essentially an 4' x 8' pickup bed when you folded flat the back seat.
Funnily enough, one girl I was giving a ride home from school one day, when she got in, exclaimed, "Cool! We're going on safari!"
That's what most people go with, who paint their alloys. You'll need to scuff up the clear coat if you want the paint to adhere for any length of time.
