anyone done 96s gems to LPG?
i've tried searching the site and didn't find much.
anywho a couple of sundays ago durning dinner the neighbor came in and told us my girlfriends and rover was on fire.
it burned the seats / bash / and all wiring under the dash.
looked at going with ford EDIS parts and a mega jolt but stand alone ecu's get pricey..
i had originally looked at the buick intake /cam and distributor swap.. but then read all these other things that had to be done ..
2 days ago i was told that with a 4.0 rover motor and the right donor motor you can take the intake off pull the cam and distributor put on the rover and thats all thats involved..
anyone have any info on this?

but more to the point, is that your truck??
if so, i hope youre not planning on fixing it...?

there was not even a gas tank hooked to the rig buddy.
fire =no electrical left
no electrical left = nightmare to make run
swapping to a distributor and propane mixer( carb) would require very little wiring..
but thanks for you your post it was super helpful and productive..

see Inlet Manifold Fittings - V8 Carbs at www.rimmerbros.co.uk - and Rick Ingram's 1974.5 MGB GT with Bored and Stroked Rover V8 - those blokes in the UK have been at this for a while and have shoved a Rover v-8 into just about anything with wheels. Perhaps something from a Buick Skylark (215 CID engine) would bolt up. There are a variety of intakes available. I like these - beats the heck out of a pretend boost $70 chip.... (that pretty purple one is bored and stroked to about 5 liter - and sitting in an MG rocket sled).
Some would also say just go back with a megasquirt system. You have several options. But you'll still need some wiring. At least now you'll be sure the immobilization is "disco-nnected".
As for LP conversions, not so much in US because of insurance, smog laws in various places, etc. Most owners are just happy for another day without temp gauge going to the rail. Not saying it a'int done, can't be done, shouldn't be done.
