Default Attempting to reset and correct RPM (LRD1)

Last week I mentioned I had completly disassembled my Throttle Body intake manifold for cleaning and malfunction check.. In doing this I had removed and cleaned everything and then re-assembled. I have followed The Rave examples to reset the kickdown cable and the throttle cable. Here is what happened. First I recalibrated my throttle plate to the fully closed position. Next I adjusted the kickdown cable to the specified measurements found in CH.44, Pg 1. This reference chapter and page describes turning the throttle cable knurled plug until the kickdown cable crimped nipple is 1mm away from the threads. Here are the results. The throttle body was moved to a 70 degree angle when the knurled plug was rotated to the Rave adjustment. Upon engine startup this 70 degree angle caused the rpm's to increase rappidly (way out of range). Has anyone else tried this procedure? I'm sure that I followed it exactly. Help Please!

So now I have found an area in Rave that contradicts itself. Chapter 19, page 15, sentence # 45 says to allign the throttle cable with the lever. Sentence # 46 says to allign the kickdown cable with the lever. I'm sure I have the SFI and I'm in the right area for the 4.0L. And I have an automatic transmission, so I'm using chapter 44 ZF as a reference for the kickdown cable adjustment. Does anyone see any errors with this? What example should I be following here?

Just went back out and tried Chapter 19 page #15, sentence #45 & #46. This seems right for the 4.0L. However Using a digital tachometer, I still cannot get the RPM's below 780's. I wonder why Chapter 44 pg 1. says to adjust the kickdown and throttle cable that way? Chapter 44 page 1 must be a write up for the 3.9L.
