Base idle setting

Default Base idle setting

I have a disco 1 96 v8i, my problem is that I can not set the base idle when I disconnect the air bypass hose the idling goes up and down short intervals and then eventually die out what can be the problem. thx

Codes?

Check pcv hoses, clean pcv noodle, clean throttle body, clean IACV

Check what Tom said. My rig had the same issue when I first got her and replaced all the vacuum lines then clean sensors. Idles as it should now.

You have to blank off the ports after you remove the bypass hose or else you'll just get a vacuum leak.

do you have a scanner that shows live data? if so what is the tps with key on?
