You don't need a lift to do it, just jackstands, a jack and some wood blocks. A lift makes most jobs more enjoyable, but is not necessary.

:edit: Sorry, I don't have a lift or pic of a lift. But I sure wish I had one!!!!

Oh sweet even better! Thanks man, I'm just interested in how much of a difference i will see and feel with the body lift, I want to squeeze 35" when i can eventually afford so much bigger of a tire.

Just make sure you have level ground to do the job on. Concrete is the first choice of working surface. Other surfaces can work, but may require additional steps.

Watch the clearances when you jack the Disco up in the garage. You have to jack up more than 2 inches to get the 2 inch spacers installed. Low hanging lights and low ceilings are not your friends.

Why are you wanting to do a body lift? Why not go a 3" lift and have a more stabile ride?

I was told (on this forum I might add) if you go over 2" on suspension you have to start modifying the drive shafts and steering.

I was also told if you do a body lift you have electrical and shift cable issues.

From what I'm gathering SOME disco owners notice trouble when they get above 2", SOME disco owners dont notice any trouble until above 3" of susspension lift, then again I've got a buddy with 3" springs and 1" coil spacers for a total of 4" and he still runs stock drive shafts, stock raduis arms etc etc and he drives it no problems on 4" suspension lift and 34x10.50 TSL swampers. I've got approx 2" of lift right now and the truck drives straight as an arrow and no vibrations at all. 2" suspension and 2" bodylift is fairly common. I'd like to add a 1" body lift personally, thats it.

What I am referring to is Offroad. Tweak that suspension over a rather large boulder and see if that statement still holds true.

All of my mods are geared for Colorado offroad use. My truck is not supposed to be a commuter truck.
