Default Bonnet release cable installation

Might be ordering a new bonnet release cable from Atlantic British - how do you remove the original cable and install the new cable?

a LOT of patience ! The worst part is the end near the latch...it's very difficult to see it and get your hands in there to remove a couple of bolts. If I had to do it over again I would remove the grill to get better access. Inside the truck is easy, and the entire cable pulls out from the inside...good luck

x2 on removing the grille. Makes it 100 times easier.

I'll take that as a no lol
Just git the new bonnet release cable installed. So far everything is in working order. Yes I did remove the grille. Whole thing took around an hour give or take. Problem is... Apparently I ordered 2 genuine bonnet release cables!!! When I first examined the packages I assumed that the 2 cables were part of the new cable, but once I got the new cable installed I realized that I have an extra unopened genuine release cable!!! Wtf

The cables aren't too expensive, here's a few links for the 1996-1999 D1:

Atlantic British:
Cable Bonnet Release 1996-1999 (Genuine Part # ASR1405 ) - Land Rover cables from Atlantic British

Rovers North:
CABLE BONNET RELEASE DISCOVERY I, RNN958, ASR1405 - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts
